Community Hub

New Hub Coming Soon

Not just one type of support and supervision delivery fits all of our tenants needs. Our tenants have multiple and complex needs and so our Yale Housing Hub enables us to provide an ‘open door’ support service, that is offered to all tenants to ensure they all receive intensive housing management in an appropriate and effective way. Tenants are guaranteed to receive the support they need, when they need it.

The Hub allows us to provide support in 3 categories;

Drop in Housing Support

This is an essential part of our service, delivering frontline support and supervision when our tenant needs it. This support includes managing utility payments, budgeting, signposting to other support services the tenant may benefit from, benefit advice, addressing antisocial behaviour, maintenance and addressing personal concerns.

Tenant Personal Development and Wellbeing

Another essential part of our support, we look to help our tenants develop their independence and build their confidence through a range of tenant led initiatives. This can be something such as developing social skills, conversation and addressing loneliness, signposting and supporting tenants into education or volunteering opportunities and supervising the development of life skills such as cooking. One of these initiatives includes our popular ‘Foodie Fridays’ which is a buffet produced for visitors to the Hub, by our very own tenants!

Homeless Support

As a way to give back to the local community and encourage people to seek support, Yale Housing Hub offers resources to the local homeless community, via links with Oldham council, Greater Manchester’s ‘A Bed Every Night’ scheme and other local initiatives. We provide the homeless community with a safe place to access hot drinks, something to eat, warm clothing and toiletries.
